Our newest publication, “ Loss of DNA mismatch repair genes leads to acquisition of antibiotic resistance independent of secondary mutations ”, is now available in  PLoS Genetics. In this paper, we identify antibiotic resistance that occurs when DNA mismatch repair genes are deleted. This resistance affects a broad range of antibiotics with different mechanisms and structures and doesn't require secondary mutations. It occurs in both E. coli and Salmonella . Our mechanistic

Our newest publication, “ Recent advances in understanding of enterobacterial common antigen synthesis and regulation ”, is now available in  Open Biology. In this paper, we review the new studies and findings that have expanded our understanding of enterobacterial common antigen in the past five years. We emphasize new insights into the regulation of extracytoplasmic carbohydrates synthesis and the complex interactions between envelope biosynthesis pathways. Congratulations

We had a fantastic time visiting the Konovalova Lab, where we were able to engage in meaningful discussions and share our scientific findings with their talented team. Thanks for inviting us to Houston! We had a great time axe throwing as well! Our newest publication, “Genetic evidence for functional diversification of gram-negative intermembrane phospholipid transporters”, is now available in PLoS Genetics.
